Memorial and In Honor Books

Are you searching for a special way to honor a loved one or event?

• Place a book ‘In Memory of’ – Express your sympathy and appreciate of a life lived by honoring the memory of someone who has passed away: a friend, neighbor, pet, or loved one
• Place a book ‘In Honor of’ – You can support the library and treat someone to an extra-special gift!  Perfect for any occasion!  You can place a book in honor of a birthday, holiday, graduation, achievement, event, or just because!

Placing a book in memorial or in honor of is a simple process.  The forms are available at the circulation desks at both Adams Memorial Library and Caldwell Memorial Library or you may print and fill out the form below.

Please specify which location you would like your book place (Adams Memorial Library, Children’s Department, or Caldwell Memorial Library).  While you are welcome to add interests of the honoree, please understand we cannot honor all requests.  Please make checks payable to Adams Memorial Library.

You may either drop the form off at the library of your choice or send the form and your donation by mail:

A notification card will be sent to the honoree (or their family), informing them of your gift.  A plate will be placed on the inside of the book with “In Memory of” or “In Honor of” : their name, “Given by”: your name.

Material Donations (books, etc.)

We gladly accept donations at our libraries of books, audiobooks, and DVDs.  We cannot accept textbooks or encyclopedias.  Donated materials will be added to the collection or sold in our book sale.  We do not accept donations during the months of June, July, or December.  Please limit the amount to two boxes per visit.

 

Used Glasses

The local Lion’s Club collects used glasses in the effort to aid those unable to pay for their own eyeglasses.  You may donate your old glasses to the Lion’s Club by dropping them in the wooden bin located in the library.
