Ligonier Ice Fest

Description: The Ice Fest will feature ice carving by Ernie DeMartino. Throughout the weekend, visitors can watch as chainsaws cut through blocks of ice creating masterpieces that sparkle and shine. Horse and buggy rides will be available, weather permitting. A speed carving event will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Local eateries will offer special Ice Fest menus and the Ligonier Volunteer Fire Co. firefighters will be serving spaghetti dinners on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. at Ligonier Town Hall. The Ice Fest will also feature Ligonier Radio live with Ron Adams on the Town Hall porch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sauurday.
Ligonier Library will host a "Winter Tales" craft project and storytime with a penguins theme on Sauurday, Jan. 26th.. The craft project will be available from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the SmartRoom. This free program is open to the public and is suitable for all ages.
Musical entertainment will feature Big Fat Jazz from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Candle in the Wind from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Town Hall. Both concerts are sponsored by Commercial Bank & Trust of PA.
Also on Sunday, Pack 370 will sell soups and baked goods from 12 to 4 p.m. in the dining hall of Heritage United Methodist Church. Soups are $5 for your choice of 2. The soups include ham pot pie, vegetable lentil, sausage and bean, chili, wedding, stuffed pepper, vegetable beef, cream of mushroom, vegetarian vegetable, beef barley, onion and Oklahoma soup. The pack will also have a variety of baked goods, hot dogs and drinks. Eat-in or take-outs are available.
