Candlelight Open House - 2019
Organization: Westmoreland Historical Society
Description: Join us for a free after-hours event at Historic Hanna's Town to kick off the holiday season. The Westmoreland History Shop, newly reopened in the Westmoreland History Education Center, will offer holiday specials and tea at the Candlelight Open House. In Hanna's Tavern, enjoy wassail, savories, and candlelit ambiance.

Be greeted by costumed re-enactors at Hanna's Tavern. Taste some beer from All Saints Brewery and wassail made from a Colonial Williamsburg recipe served from the “bar” at the Tavern, along with savory snacks. Stroll by lantern light from the Tavern to the Shop at the Westmoreland History Education Center where we’ll serve sweets – including gingerbread and pound cake with our own private labeled jams and jellies - and freshly brewed tea. Browse all our other unique gift and holiday items with a sophisticated colonial, farmhouse, and historical cottage style, as well as a fine collection of American and local history books for adults and children, and educational toys – many made in the USA.

Location: Historic Hanna's Town, 809 Forbes Road, Greensburg
