Organization: Fort Ligonier
Description: Stop by the Fort and see 60 historic military vehicles headed to San Francisco, California for the 100th anniversary of the 1919 Cross Country Convoy conducted by the U.S. Army. Around noon, 60 some restored military vehicles will proceed on East Main Street and circle part of Diamond Park before parking at Fort Ligonier and other nearby parking lots.

The route follows U.S. Route 30 or the historic and picturesque Lincoln Highway. A young army officer by the name of Dwight D. Eisenhower accompanied the convoy as an observer for the War Department. Thirty-nine years after the 1919 convoy, President Eisenhower returned to the area for the 200th anniversary of Fort Ligonier!
