History Dinner Theater Series - 2017/2018

Description: The Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Gallery at Saint Vincent College has announced a history dinner theater series.The series will offer five dinners and themed historical presentations during the fall and spring featuring historic tales, music, poetry and presentations about historic figures in U.S. history. Each of the programs will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Fred M. Rogers Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College.
Participants will dine on a served, three-course gourmet dinner of their choosing while they are enjoying the production.The series will run from September 2017 to May 2018 and will bring a fresh and exciting approach to history in a way people may have never experienced it before.
The dinner theater season will include five performances, most of which are family-friendly:
Sunday, Sept. 17, The Legend of Rip Van Winkle with Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk
Friday, Oct. 13, Abigail Adams Portrayed by Kim Hanley
Thursday, Dec. 7, Thomas Jefferson P[ortrayed by Steve Edenbo
Friday, March 16, 2018, A Visit with Harriet Tubman
Friday, May 4, 2018, History Alive! Sally Ride - Who Wants to be an Astronaut?
Individual tickets for dinner and theater are $65 for adults and $25 for children under 12. Season tickets for all five dinner and theater events are available for $245 per person. Discount rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Students with a high school or college ID will be admitted for $35. Members of the St. Vincent Community are $45 with ID. All dinner entrees are served with rolls, salad, two sides and a dessert. All proceeds of the series support the Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Gallery at Saint Vincent College.
