Aging and Spirituality: Spiritual History of Catholicism

Description: Dr. Patricia Sharbaugh, assistant professor of theology at Saint Vincent College, will be the next speaker in the Aging and Spirituality Lecture Series presented by the School of Social Sciences, Communication and Education at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Fred M. Rogers Center. Her talk is entitled, “The Spiritual History of Catholicism.”
Sharbaugh specializes in the field of biblical theology. Her engagement in theological questions begins with a critical study of scripture. She seeks to bring this foundational study of scripture into conversation with systematic theology and contemporary theological themes. Her research interests include: Christology in the Gospel of Matthew, Jewish-Christian dialogue, the theology of the cross, and the study of women in scripture.
A member of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, she and her husband, John, are residents of Ligonier.
Persons of all ages are welcome to attend and share in the discussion and questions. Admission is free and open to the public.
Parking for the physically challenged is available at the Fred M. Rogers Center. All participants may park in Parking Area A and enter the Rogers Center at the first floor entrance.
